We meet at the Chino Airport (near Flo's restaurant) - 7000 Merrill Avenue, Chino, CA 91710 on Wednesdays from 1830 - 2000 (6:30 pm - 9:00 pm). All visitors are welcome! 

Rocketry 2025 is being held at Two Rock Coast Guard (USCG) Base at 599 Tomales Road, Petaluma, California.

It will be held 4 - 6 April 2025. It starts 4 April 2025 at 1700 and ends 6 April 2025 at 1500.

The total cost is $135.00. A commitment check of $90.00 and online registration MUST be done and received on or before 7 March 2025 at 2100. This commitment check will NOT be returned if the cadet does not attend the weekend. The $90.00 pays for the rockets and engines that need to be ordered in advance. The additional $45.00 pays for meals, showers, and lodging. Please do not include the $45.00 with the commitment check; it will not be returned if included and the cadet does not attend.

The weekend may be cancelled for the following reasons:

1.     Rain on the week before the event or predicted for the time of the event.

2.     Fire danger is too extreme

3.     Less than 12 cadets register online before 7 March 2025 at 2100

4.     Less than 12 commitment checks arrive before 7 March 2025 at 2100

5.     Another pandemic

6.     Act of Congress

Commitment checks will be destroyed if any of the above happen.

A maximum of 36 cadets students will be accepted, and a maximum of 2 additional senior members beyond the senior staff.  

Equipment list, acceptance letter, and further instructions will be sent out after 7 March 2025.

Remember rocketry is a very precise, attention to detail, and instruction following endeavor.  These are the same qualities you need for success in this course. Lacking these qualities can get people hurt or killed.

This SAREX is designed to simulate building and executing Civil Air Patrol's SAR and DR response capabilities. Its members will build and demonstrate its ability to execute its core functions and successfully execute anticipated mission requests to qualify/re-qualify mission pilots/scanners/observers, airborne photographers, and mission base staff.

Day and Night Search and Rescue exercise with Mission Base located at the Watsonville Airport, EAA Hanger, 60 Aviation Way, Watsonville, CA 95076.  Exercise to locate a 2 practice beacons transmitter located off site from the airport by aircraft, then dispatch ground teams and UDF teams to a search area to recover.  This event is designed to include members of CAP Group 2 and additional personnel from other groups as needed, and potentially with the Santa Cruz County Sheriff's Search and Rescue Team for a multi-agency operation utilizing unified command.
